1863 Liberty Seated Silver Dollar. AU-58 (PCGS).
Boldly to sharply defined throughout, this Liberty Seated silver dollar offers an overlay of dusky sandy-gray patina that is a bit deeper on the obverse. This is a scarce to rare issue in all grades, most of the 27,200 circulation strikes produced were exported and subsequently lost. Few 1863 silver dollars either remained stateside or were repatriated in payments for American goods.
