1888 Liberty Seated Half Dollar. Proof-65 (PCGS).
Similar in appearance to the Millholland Proof 1887 half dollar offered above, and of nearly identical Gem quality. As with the other issues in the 1879 to 1891 date run, the 1888 is associated with a low mintage circulation strike issue and also ranks as one of the more popular Proof Liberty Seated half dollars. This is a conditionally scarce Gem from a mintage of 832 Proofs.
