Reverse: Ends of scroll: left under space between E and D; right about even with extreme right of A. On scroll: I under T at left; S centered under S. The value, 25 C., is high near eagle; olive leaf at left of lower berry is connected with border.
Dies perfect.
Large 0, long peak to 1.
Olive leaf left of lower berry joins border.

Dies perfect or with faint reverse clash marks.
Proofs:
1. Mint Cabinet, No. 785, Smithsonian Institution.
2. "One-sided" Proof, Browning plate coin, later Dupont:1793. Not in Browning's inventory. Made in 1821; same comment as to B01.

Business strikes are very rare in Mint State, though easily found in lower grades. Among the better ones can be named.

Obverse: Date wide, not equally spaced, large wide 0, not quite centered under curl, slightly to left; lower left star points to between first and second fold in drapery; upper right star not close to cap.
Reverse: Ends of scroll: left under upright of D; right under center of foot of A. On scroll: I not quite centered under T, slightly to left; S centered under S. In the value, 25 C., 25 is low, close to border with C high, and further from 5 than in any other variety.
Obverse die cracked around at left, connecting all stars at left, and 1 and 8 in date. Reverse die perfect.
Large 0, normal peak to 1; close date, low 8.
25 C. spaced far apart; 25 close, 5 leans far to right.
