On March 5, 2012 the Royal Canadian Mint unveiled a 99.99% pure silver $10 coin commemorating the 100th Anniversary of the sinking of the RMS Titanic. In 2012, the Canadian Mint will introduce three different coins to commemorate the sinking.
One of the coins is a $10 hand-polished, pure silver coin with an issue price of $64.95.
The second is a colored 50 cent hand-polished silver plated coin with an issue price of $34.95.
The third coin, a 25 cent cupro-nickel coin struck in a Specimen finish, has a price of $25.95 each.
The coins will be offered through the Royal Mint website or in person at their boutiques located in Ottawa, Winnipeg and Vancouver.
