Online Coin Guide: A Collectors Universe Exclusive

Ever wonder if there’s a comprehensive, easy-to-use guide to the collecting, buying and selling of coins? Ever find yourself reading an auction report and wish you had the benefit of expert advice to be a really smart buyer? Wouldn’t it be nice if there were someplace online you could go to get the basics from someone who knows the coin business inside and out?

Now there is: it’s the Collectors Universe Online Coin Guide, and you’re only a mouse-click away from it.

The text for the various sections of the Coin Guide was written by respected numismatist Q. David Bowers. Much of the information is derived from his bestseller A Buyer’s Guide to the Rare Coin Market. The Coin Guide is thorough, covering everything from coin collecting basics to maximizing the rewards of your efforts. The Guide addresses such topics as Collectors and Investors, Dealing with Dealers, Auctions, Grading and Prices, and the various Design Types of U.S. Coins. There’s even a section on the history of mints and the minting of coins.

The Coin Guide doesn’t stop there, however. If you’re looking for information on a specific type of coin, just find it in the drop-down menu on the introductory page. A link will take you to a section thoroughly covering just that coin type or series, with clear images and a history of the type.

The Guide is also a great jumping-off place to explore the many other useful features of the website. From the Guide’s home page, just click on any of the links leading to our Auctions, Coin eShops, a complete library of Articles that have appeared on Coin Universe pages, the Daily Price Guide, and a viewable Video Library with clips covering high-profile coin auctions, coin grading and silver dollar hordes, among other topics.

Take a moment to see for yourself how informative and easy-to-use the Coin Guide is. Just click on the Coin Guide link, and you’re on your way to a thorough grounding in the basics of this enjoyable and interesting field.
