PCGS Expands World Coin Information

-

PCGS continues to expand its presence throughout the world. As in the United States, PCGS is taking on the challenge of organizing categories, sub-categories and coins, country by country, into a useable structure.

Recently, after much original research, detailed information on coins from France, Germany and China have been added to the PCGS website. All three countries have been carefully studied and their coins have been organized in a hierarchy that is intuitive and easy to navigate. None of this could have been done without the patient guidance of collectors and dealers from each of the countries.

For France, the PCGS data begins in 1610 with the Royal period, and includes the Franc as well as the Euro periods. Germany begins with the German Colonies in 1894 and includes the German States, Weimar, Third Reich, East and West Germany, as well as the Euro period. China addresses the Chinese Soviet Republic, the Japanese Occupation and the People's Republic dating 1936 to date. There is much more to add to what has been done already and PCGS is devoting significant resources to this effort. Keep an eye on our progress as PCGS conquers the world!
