PCGS.com - What's New on PCGS.com

We make every effort to keep our website dynamic and alive with activity. If you are someone who visits our site regularly you will see a constant flow of information both textual and in video! As we can, entire new categories of information will be added to the site. We just launched a new category in a section called PCGS Books Online. I think this is one of the most exciting developments that we've had in some time!

I love books on numismatic topics. Learning about various coin issues or the famous collectors who pursued them is one of the best parts of our great hobby. PCGS.com is now making it even easier for you by offering four famous books with the launch of this new section. We will be adding many more great books over the weeks and months ahead. This is super cool if you have an iPad or small notebook computer (all the content is stored as HTML). It feels like you have the book in your hands and you can access it at your convenience.

One of the first books we have loaded is Silver Dollars & Trade Dollars of the United States – A Complete Encyclopedia. Not only is this book out of print, but it is a treasure trove of information on all the dollars made by the U.S. Mint. I have spent hours and hours using this book to research various coins. It is a wonderful resource. We hope you will be able to take advantage of this new offer. Did I mention it is free?

Another new development on PCGS.com is a new version of PCGS Photograde. It just keeps getting better! Not only have we added 12 new series (mostly early silver and gold) with 197 new images, but we have improved the quality of all of images considerably. This is a great tool for your desktop, but it is truly amazing if you have an iPad and carry it with you while you are on a bourse floor. In a matter of seconds, you can compare a raw coin that is being offered to you with the many high quality images that are available on PCGS Photograde™. This is available as an application at the Apple® store or via HTML from our website.
