The first qualifying round of the 2nd Annual PCGS World Series of Coin Grading was held January 13th through the 16th at the FUN show in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. There were 12 participating dealers in the "Professional" division, and 5 collectors who participated in the "Collector" division. The winners were as follows.
Professional Division
1st place - Greg Reff 81 (out of a possible 100)
2nd place - Matt Kleinstauber 75.5
Collector Division
1st place - Tony Swicer 70.5
2nd place - Ralph J. Dimmick 63
Additional qualifying rounds will be conducted at the Long Beach Expos in February and June, as well as the Baltimore Coin and Currency Convention in March, with the final round at the American Numismatic Association World's Fair of Money® Convention in San Francisco, California in July.
