Want to buy coins but just too busy? You’re not alone… Many coin collectors are simply too pressed for time to buy the coins they want. It’s a pretty common dilemma for numismatists, especially the busiest ones. Why, some of the hobby’s highest rollers hire coin dealers and other numismatic experts to literally do their bidding for them — either at auction or in the industry networks.

For many, this model works very well — it’s really quite akin to having a certified professional accountant run your numbers for you. You’re getting the job done with the hands of a person who knows what they are doing so you can go do what you have to do. And for some, there’s nothing better than having an experienced coin dealer or collectible-coin consultant handle your purchases and other transactions for you. There are some who even build entire careers around building collectors for others — some of the best cabinets in the world have been assembled in just that fashion.

But what if you want to buy and sell your own coins, but you just don’t have the time to do all of that? What then? How do you do this and still buy the coins you want while learning what you need to about your purchases so you can be a knowledgeable buyer at the same time?

PCGS offers a variety of wonderful resources that can help save you time as a coin collector and coin buyer. With the free PCGS CoinFacts, you have access to the web’s largest and most comprehensive open-access online encyclopedia of U.S. coins and coin pricing, giving you virtually everything you need to know about U.S. coins with a few clicks on the keyboard or taps on the screen – get schooled on the coins you want to buy without having to leave the comfort of your couch or the busy-ness of your office chair!

Ready to buy those coins you’re studying up on? PCGS has a wonderful resource for that, too. It’s called Collectors Corner, an innovative marketplace forum where many of the nation’s leading coin dealers list their coins for sale. It’s like visiting some of the best coin cases and numismatic showrooms in the country without having to get into your car and drive anywhere.
