    PCGS Set Registry Update

Start your PCGS Registry Set with only two coins! One two-coin set we recently posted is the British Straits Settlements Dollar Basic Set, Proof Restrike (1919-1920). The business-strike counterparts that were used for everyday commerce, under the rule of King George V, were struck at the Bombay Mint in India. Many of the $1 coins issued for circulation did not survive in the stellar condition that collectors desire. The low-relief design with open fields left many collectors with less-than-pristine examples. To score an MS65 example is extremely challenging but possible. Many years later, The Bombay Mint offered to restrike the $1 denomination and other coins on demand for collectors in proof. Many coins from various countries were issued all the way up until the early 1970s, and production ceased due to political pressure. . Please browse the PCGS Set Registry when you have a chance, and you may find there is a set for almost anyone to build. The PCGS Set Registry continues to add new offerings for almost any member to consider pursuing and provides specialty sets for advanced collectors to build. We are grateful for your continued support, best of luck building your sets, and Happy Collecting, folks!
