PCGS Set Registry Update

The Four Dollar Gold Pattern Stella is a famed rarity that is on many bucket lists for U.S. coin collectors. Maybe even world coin collectors. From the notes of Q. David Bowers in regards to the Stella, "Two obverse designs were produced, the Flowing Hair type by Charles E. Barber (who was chief engraver of the Mint at the time) and the Coiled Hair type by George T. Morgan (he of 1878 silver dollar fame)." PCGS has recently listed the Four Dollar Stellas - Gold Set (1879-1880) that includes the coin shown above. This set is one of the most challenging sets we have ever listed and we encourage our members to view this iconic set which has been completed.

Additional sets from various countries have been added, so please feel free to browse the PCGS Set Registry when you have a chance and you may find there is a set for almost anyone to build. The PCGS Set Registry offers many different sets from all over the world and specialty sets for advanced collectors. We appreciate your continued patronage, all the best in building your sets, and Happy Collecting, folks!
