PCGS Set Registry Update

In 1962, a 24-year-old man by the name of Phil Knight decided to climb Mt. Fuji, located southwest of Tokyo, Japan. He noted in his autobiography, Shoe Dog, that there were several paths down. Little did Knight know that after his descent from this mountain, one of his next paths would lead him to become the CEO of Nike Incorporated. Nike is known for its innovative lines of shoes and most notably basketball shoes. Had Nike not signed NBA superstar Michael Jordan out of college, the company may not have become the number-one brand of choice by a majority of the players in the National Basketball Association today. Legends of the NBA are inducted into the Naismith Hall of Fame after they receive the prestigious honor of being selected. One challenge that PCGS offers Set Registry members to complete is the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame Private Collection Signature Set (1998-present). It contains coins to honor the 60th anniversary of the Basketball Hall of Fame. PCGS partnered with the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame to create special labels with signatures from superstars such as Shaquille O'Neal, Julius Erving, Larry Bird, and George Gervin, to name a few. Sucharges from the sale of the coins from the United States Mint and proceeds from the sale of these special PCGS labels directly benefitted the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame. This set will be difficult to complete, and making three pointers here won't be easy as Steph Curry does it!
