Stack's Bowers Auction Summer 2026 Global Showcase Auction U.S. Coins Sep-2026 Offered is one of the very finest Mint State Indian quarter eagles of any issue available to advanced numismatists collecting in the 21st century. It represents one of just eight grading events in MS-67 for the series in its entirety listed on the current online version of the PCGS Population Reportt. Six of these are for the first year 1908, including the coin offered here, while the other two are for a 1914 and 1929. None have been certified finer by this service, for any issue.

This is an awe-inspiring Superb Gem Uncirculated coin that really needs to be seen to be fully appreciated. The color is outstanding and includes gently mottled powder blue and pinkish-apricot overtones to a base of deep honey-orange. The strike is as sharp and complete as one could realistically expect for the issue, and the luster is exceptional in a softly frosted texture. Virtually pristine with eye appeal to spare, this is an ultimate Mint State type coin that would do equally well in the finest collection of Indian quarter eagles, especially one competing for top ranking on the PCGS Set Registry. Extraordinary!
