| Legend Rare Coin Auctions | Auction | The Regency Auction 38 | May-2020 | Legend Rare Coin Auctions is proud to offer the SINGLE FINEST 1925-D nickel graded by PCGS and its quality is all there and then some! Scarce in all grades thanks to a relatively small mintage of 4,450,000; in GEM grade, the 25-D is the second rarest Denver mint issue of the 1920s, and this coin is truly a spectacular survivor. A rich, satiny mint frost blooms and glows throughout the seductively clean, pristine quality surfaces. A faint trace of pale blue iridescent toning accents the smoothness of the fields and the sharpness of the strike. An amazing SUPERB quality coin that serves as the PCGS CoinFacts plate coin. PCGS 14, NGC 13, CAC 5. This is the SINGLE MS66+ graded at PCGS and there are ZERO graded finer at that service. Unpriced in the Collectors Universe Price Guide, this GEM could well break the record for the date! It belongs in the FINEST of Buffalo nickel sets and is a world class example! Cert. Number 39272472 PCGS # 3955.00 |
