Long Beach Coin Expo News:

Next week, at the Long Beach Coin Expo, we will be displaying the Legend Trade Dollar Collection at the PCGS booth. This is quite a privilege for us as this collection is the finest ever assembled. Both the Mint State set and the Proof set were awarded the #1 sets in their category in the Set Registry for 2002. In addition, the Mint State set was inducted into the PCGS Hall of Fame. We invite you to stop by Booth #807 and examine these wonderful examples of American history. Click here for the coin show dates and times.

In addition to the fabulous Legend Collection, we will also have at the PCGS booth the new PCGS Set Registry/CU Forum lapel pins. These pins are complimentary and came at the request of many members of the CU Forums. Ask for either BJ Searls or Gayle Kean at the booth.

David Hall, PCGS founder and President, will be at the PCGS booth Friday, February 28 from 1 p.m. - 5 p.m. giving free grading consultations. Bring your coins and discuss them with David!

PCGS Set Registry News:

As many of you know, we have a new policy regarding varieties which means we will be adding to the variety sets most varieties which have had five or more graded. As we go through this process, there may also be times when we will remove varieties based on feedback we get from the Set Registry membership. The variety issue is complicated because opinions range widely from one collector to the next. Therefore, we appreciate your patience as we go through this process. We will do our very best to satisfy the needs of the greater percentage of members on this issue.

The set weighting queue has been updated. Bookmark the Set Registry News page for frequent updates.

Every month, we will delete sets that are over a year old and less than 10% complete which have not been updated for over a year. If for some reason you are maintaining a set that you have never sent in for validation, the system does not indicate to us if you have been updating it. Therefore, if the set falls into the less than 10% complete category and is over a year old, it will be deleted. If you do not want your set deleted, please send it through for validation at your earliest convenience.

As always, we appreciate any feedback or suggestions you would like to share with us. Thanks for all of your support and enthusiasm and please let us know if you have any questions. Email [email protected].
