One of the most common questions we get in Customer Service is, "How do I fill out my submission form?". The answer depends on which submission form you are completing, but is very similar for all of the different types we offer.
The first, and most common submission form, is the physical submission form. The majority of our customers utilize the physical submission form. This is what they have used for years and are used to.
The other options are the online step by step submission form, the PDF submission form or, if you are attending a coin show that PCGS will be grading on-site at, you can use our new show on-site PDF submission form. You can also work with a PCGS Authorized Dealer in your area that may assist you with completing the submission form.
While options are always good they can sometimes be overwhelming. If you become overwhelmed, or are just not sure what to do PCGS Customer Service is here to help! You can contact us via email ([email protected]) or by phone (800-447-8848) to assist you with submission form related questions, or anything coin related. If you would like us to walk you through filling out the submission form you can call our Customer Service line; a Customer Service Representative is available to assist you Monday through Friday 7:00AM to 5:00PM PST.
Which submission form type do you normally use? Why do you choose that option? Have you tried the other options?
I personally recommend customers utilize the step by step online submission form, this submission form will walk you through the entire process. Step by step. The online submission form will also catch the majority of errors or problems on a submission and will alert you on how to correct them, of course not every error is caught but we test it as much as possible and try and simulate everything we can think of! (If you find something let us know! We will review and correct the issue if needed).
Although we have a few different options for submission forms, they all require the same information.
The main pieces of information required are;
The old saying goes "Give a person a fish and you feed them for a day. Teach a person to fish and you feed them for a lifetime." I think this saying applies to everything, including PCGS submission forms! To learn how to fish (or how to fill out a submission form) see the links listed below:
