PCGS Set Registry Update
Charles III became King of England on September 8, 2022, with the passing of his mother, Queen Elizabeth II. In 2023, the Royal Mint of England issued the "Definitives" series, which celebrates Charles III. These coins exhibit some of the finest numismatic craftsmanship and are superb. The following is a statement from the Royal Mint about the designs: "Personally approved by The King, these new reverse designs represent nature and conservation, causes close to His Majesty’s heart, and include a pattern based on The King’s cypher." Coins were struck in base metals, silver, and gold with limited quantities being available. Each coin shows a special "crown" privy mark behind the king's head, and each reverse design is a work of art. Shown above is the one pound silver coin that is included in the set with two sharp-looking bees on the reverse. This coin with many others is part of the 2023 British King Charles III Definitives Silver Proof Set PCGS has listed for collectors to consider building.
Additional sets from various countries have been added, so please feel free to browse the PCGS Set Registry when you have a chance and you may find there is a set for almost anyone to build. The PCGS Set Registry offers many different sets from all over the world and specialty sets for advanced collectors. We appreciate your continued patronage!
