Key Dates Being Sold Unreserved; Some of the First Graded by PCGS
August 25, 2016. Irvine, Calif. - GreatCollections is currently auctioning a selection of key date Silver Eagles graded PCGS MS-70. All are being sold unreserved, with bidding to start at $1.
Ian Russell, President/founder of GreatCollections commented: "The Silver Eagle series is one of the most popular of U.S. coinage. Some of these coins were among the very first graded MS-70 by PCGS – 20-30 years after they were released."
"Some of the years we are offering, like the 1999 and 1996 are notorious for being struck poorly as well as having handling marks from leaving the U.S. Mint, so to have the perfect MS-70 grade by PCGS is rare for these years" Russell continued.
Coins are graded by PCGS using the Sheldon Coin Grading Scale from 1 to 70, with 70 being the perfect grade.
The coins are being sold in GreatCollections' August 28th and September 4th auctions. All coins are currently listed at www.greatcollections.com with professional images. Click here to view.
