PCGS Set Registry Update
In 1966, Australia issued its first proof set, which consists of six denominations. Three of the coins were made from copper-nickel, including the 5, 10, and 20 cents denominations. The 20 cents was designed by Stuart Devlin and portrays a platypus with claws, along with the obverse showing Queen Elizabeth II. Circulation strikes of this coin are difficult to find in grades above PCGS MS67, but it is possible with a proof coin. For example, the PCGS PR70DCAM 1969 20 Cents shown above is one of two to receive the coveted perfect score. This date was recently listed as part of the Australian Twenty Cents Copper-Nickel, Proof (1966-present) series. Completing this set will be a challenge for many collectors, and we wish you the best of luck.
Additional sets from various countries have been added, so please feel free to browse the PCGS Set Registry when you have a chance and you may find there is a set for almost anyone to build. The PCGS Set Registry offers many different sets from all over the world and specialty sets for advanced collectors. We appreciate your continued patronage!
