In 1982 the U.S. Mint produced different varieties for Lincoln Cents. It produced some in mostly copper and others in mostly zinc composition. It also produced some coins with a Large Date and Small Date variety. Collecting all different varieties in high grades can be challenging.
The 1982-P Large Date Bronze variety is common up to MS66 condition. Anything higher is much more difficult to find.
