The 1873-CC No Arrows Half Dollar features a mintage almost half that of the 1873-CC With Arrows. However, both versions are scarce, and both are extremely popular because of their source -- the short-lived Western Mint in Carson City.
The No Arrows version is affordable in some of the lowest grades, but quickly jumps in price in grades of Very Fine or better. In Mint State, this is a solid, five-figure coin because of the small number of survivors. Most Mint State 1873-CC No Arrows Half Dollars appear in the range of MS62 to MS64, inclusive, and anything better is an extreme rarity. The best example is an impressive PCGS MS67.
