Charles Morgan:

The 1993-P Roosevelt Dime

1993 marked one of the final years of the 20th century in which the Philadelphia Mint struck fewer than one billion dimes. Of the 766,180,000 dimes produced, the 1,297,431 Uncirculated Mint Sets sold that year account for a significant portion of the surviving Mint State population. Despite these high mintage figures, quality control was remarkably strong, resulting in a substantial increase in Full Bands (FB) examples compared to the 1991 and 1992 outputs.

Because these coins still circulate, collectors typically pay numismatic premiums only for Mint State specimens, with the highest valuations reserved for those featuring Full Bands.
