The 1794 LM-4 Half Dime is the only variety of the year that has three berries under the eagle's right wing (viewer's left). The other varieties of this year have only two berries instead of three. This diagnostic feature makes it easy to identify the 1794 LM-4 Half Dime without using any other criteria.
Of the four 1794 Half Dime varieties, KM-4 is one of the most common, but "common" is a relative term because all 1794 Half Dimes are scarce.
At least three Mint State examples are known, including the Gem Eliasberg coin.
