Overton 112 is a common variety of the 1829 Half Dollars. Collectors can find examples in a variety of grades, including most Mint State grades. The finest example of which we are aware is an NGC MS66 that last appeared at auction in 2014. However, the price record belongs to a PCGS MS65+ that sold for $15,275 in a 2016 Heritage auction.
A small numnber of O-112's are well-struck and Prooflike. In the past, these have been described as Prooflikes, Presentation, or Specimen Strikes. The difference between these and a true Proof (which does exist) is a matter of degrees, so certification is a must.
