The 1863 re-punched date is somewhat of a minor variety but yet considered scarce since few examples have been reported. The most evident re-punching is on the 3 digit towards the inside portion of the serifs. Towards the inside of the 3 serifs there are some minor rounded long curvatures displaying the re-punching of the date.
