After the 2010-P Grand Canyon 5 oz. coins were issued some collectors and dealers discovered a different finish on some of the coins. The different finish is referred to as Light Satin since the coins have a less satiny appearance that the Uncirculated 5 oz. coins that are sold to collectors. The Light Satin Finish coins have a semi light shiny appearance that it is different enough that it can be told apart from the regular Uncirculated coins. The Light Satin Finish varieties seem to be much scarcer than the regular Satin Finish coins.
