Most all 2013 $50 Uncirculated Gold Buffaloes were well struck ranging from MS68-MS70 condition. Perfect MS70 quality coins were not that scarce and anyone desiring a perfect example could have purchased it inexpensively compared to a raw or MS69 example. The Mint first began taking orders for the 2013 $50 Uncirculated Gold Buffaloes on January 02, 2013. The Mint sold the coins to its Authorized Purchasers at a small premium over the spot price of gold. The Authorized Purchasers then sold the coins to other dealers and the public.
