The 1938-D/S Overmint mark is located on the reverse of the coin. The '"D' mint mark is boldly shown centered over the "S' mint mark. Remenants of the "S" mint mark are seen inside the "D" mint mark and portions of the S" are also shown around the "D" mint mark. One of the more prominent and popular over mint marks in the Buffalo Nickel series. .
