Jaime Hernandez:

Jefferson War Nickels were struck from 1942-1945. The 1945-D Jefferson Nickel is fairly common and can be purchased very inexpensively up to about MS66 condition. In MS67 condition it becomes much scarcer especially with the Full Steps designation. In MS68 condition it is extremely scarce with less than a handful of examples graded by PCGS with no examples known in better condition.
