The 1961 Proof Nickel was minted in large quantities to keep up with the collectors demand. Therefore, most examples are very affordable and easy to obtain. The only condition they are difficult to find, are in PR69 Deep Cameo condition. Only about a few dozen examples have been graded as PR69 Deep Cameo and they usually command a very strong premium.
