The 1996-D Uncirculated Tennis Silver Dollar was struck to commemorate the XXVI Olympiad in Atlanta, Georgia. The Mint struck sixteen different coins to commemorate this special event.

Obverse: The obverse features a female tennis player participating in the Olympiad Games. She is holding a tennis ball racket in her right hand, while swinging to hit a tennis ball. It has the inscriptions, Liberty, 1996, Atlanta, In God We Trust. It also has the USA Olympic logo next to the female tennis ball layer.

Reverse: The reverse of the coin shows the Olympic torch. Underneath the torch it has the Olympics logo and the number 100, representative of the centennial and Olympic logo. The reverse also has the inscriptions, United States of America, E Pluribus Unum, Atlanta 1996, Centennial Olympic Games.
