Judd-74 is a restrike of an 1838 Half Dollar pattern. The severe cracking and the advanced die rusting on the reverse indicates that this was one of the last uses of the dies, suggesting that this coin was struck perhaps as late as the 1870s. Only one example is known in this pure copper composition.
