Rarity 4+ | Eckberg 2-B. The C-1 is the rarest die marriage of the 1809 Half Cent (#1123), with an estimated surviving population of around 60 coins according to experts like Bill Eckberg. While its scarcity was somewhat overestimated through the 1980s, it remains unknown in Mint State — notably, the C-1 die marriage was absent even from the legendary D. Brent Pogue Collection.
