Charles Morgan:

The 1938 Jefferson Nickel, Doubled-Die Obverse, FS-101.

This popular Cherrypickers' Guide variety (FS-101) shows a moderate spread on "IN GOD WE TRUST," the star, and the date. While the doubling is most prominent on the "38," it can be easily discerned elsewhere under a loupe.

PCGS will certify this collectible Jefferson Nickel variety through our Variety Attribution Program.
