The 1812 Overton 106 Half Dollar is a semi-scarce variety, most likely because the reverse die fractured and crack clean across. This crack is visible on all known examples, and it runs from the right side of the N of UNITED, across the eagle's head, through the scroll between the N and U of UNUM, to the rim just to the left of the first A in AMERICA. High grade examples are quite elusive and only a handful of low-end Uncirculated pieces are known.
