The size difference between the Large Head and the Medium Head (PCGS #478) is minor, so this nomenclature can be misleading. Side-by-side comparison is recommended (see the comparison image above). Perhaps 20 different examples of ththe Large Head exist, so it is worth confirming the attribution.
High grade examples of this variety are very rare. Only one Mint State example is known (the NGC MS63 ex-Norweb and Partrick Collection), and most of the 20 or so Large Heads are VF or worse.
Late states of this variety show cracking on the left shoulder of the obverse figure and reverse cracks through the tops of ET and above LIB and the trailing quatrefoil.
