The 2011-W $25 Proof Eagle was issued by the U.S. Mint on April, 21, 2011. The maximum authorized mintage was set at 55,000 coins. By February 20, 2012 the coins were no longer available at the U.S. Mint and at the time the sales figures were at about 25,550 total coins sold. Therefore, the mintage figures are actually about half of the actual maximum authorized mintage.
