Only three examples are known of the Proof 1840 No Drapery Quarter. The Pittman coin and the Eliasberg-Kaufman coin are probably about equal in terms of condition (the former is in an NGC PR65 holder; the latter is in a PCGS PR64+ holder). The third example is a raw Proof in the Smithsonian Institution's collection. This will be a tough coin for any collector to obtain, because the last appearance of the Pittman coin was in 2004 and the Eliasberg/Kaufman example sold in 2013 (and may finally be in strong hands).
