Jack Beymer: The most stupendous coin I have ever seen is the John Work Garrett 1795 draped bust silver dollar PCGS specimen 66. In the 1970's, a friend of mine Dr. Robert Shalowitz introduced me to Carl Carlson the curator of the John Work Garrett collection in Baltimore. Carl let me see all of the coins I wished to see. I had three Brasher doubloons on my left hand, punch on breast, punch on wing and Peruvian copy, only $11,000,000 plus value. The Garrett collection also had an 1804 dollar, which I handled as well, but the 1795 dollar totally proof-like specimen was the most amazing coin I handled.
