Jaime Hernandez:

The 1873 Double Liberty Indian Cent is considered scarce. There are approximately 500 - 1,000 examples known in all grades combined. About 90 - 95% of graded examples are in circulated grades, thus, inidcating how scarcer or rarer Uncirculated examples really are. From the coins that exist in Uncirculated grades, most of them are in MS63 - MS64 condition and anything grading higher is either rare or non-existent. Proving how truly rare this coin is in Gem condition.
