Dealer Mike Aron relates the following story about 1890-CC Dollars: "It was late 1976 or early 1977 when Nick Buzolich, Jr. made one of his visits to see me at A-Mark Coin Co. (Beverly Hills, CA). Jim Leeuw and I were looking over a bag of 1,000 PL and what is now DMPL 1890CC dollars. At first, Jim told him they were not for sale yet. But after some serious negotiation (and a little begging) from Nick, we sold him three or four rolls at about $175 per coin. He would continue to come in about once a week and buy many more rolls from this amazing bag of Redfield Morgan dollars!"
