Ron Guth:
The 1913 Half Dollar enjoys one of the largest, certified populations of the Barber Half Dollars. However, the bulk of the certified examples are circulated, leaving only few in Mint State. The PCGS CoinFacts Condition Census, reflective of that fact, shows only a few MS65 examples and a small handful in MS66. The best example is the delightful PCGS MS66+ from the Dr. Price and Duckor Collections.
In general, the 1913 Half Dollar is well-struck, but occasional examples show weakness on the upper right shield. Prooflike examples exist, as well.
