Jaime Hernandez:
The 1947-D Dime has a mintage of about 46 million coins. This is more or less about the average mintage for Silver Roosevelt Dimes issued from 1946-1964.
In circulated grades it is considered a common date. In MS60 – MS65 it is easily obtainable. However, in MS60 – MS65 the 1947-D Dime commands a slightly higher premium than most common dates. In MS66 condition, it begins to become a bit more challenging to find but yet, still obtainable without much trouble. In MS67 condition, it becomes tough, with possibly about 125 examples surviving in this grade.
