Jaime Hernandez:

The 1956-D Roosevelt Dime is very common in circulated condition and one of the more common dates in the series. It has a mintage of well over 108 million. Compare this to other dates like the 1955-P or 1955-D with mintages of under 15 million each.

The 1956-D Roosevelt Dime is only scarce in MS66 condition or higher. Anything in lower condition is fairly common. In MS66 with Full Bands it also scarce. In MS67 Full Bands or higher it is very scarce and few examples are known.
