Ron Guth:

The 1861 Three Cent Silver is a common coin in Proof, thus the real challenge is finding one in nice condition with strong cameo contrast. Deep Cameo examples are extremely rare and fewer than 15 precent of the examples certified thus far are considered Cameos. Among the known Cameo examples, the typical grade is only PR64CAM, making anything better a desirable and a valuable rarity.
