PCGS CoinFacts Update

A severe winter impacted coin production in early 1977, but that didn't stop the Philadelphia Mint from producing nearly 800 million dimes. PCGS Set Registry Update

Australia is a country where new coins are released with a higher frequency than most countries. In 2022, the "Frontline Workers" $2 coin was released, honoring COVID-19 pandemic heroes. This coin depicts workers from public service, healthcare, and retail sectors, to name a few. Also in 2022, the Royal Australian Mint issued the $1 Great Aussie Coin Hunt, which included letters A through Z and is struck in aluminum-bronze. Each $1 coin depicts a different theme, such as "A - Aussie," "B - Bushbangers," and "C - Cockatoo," for example. These coins are beautifully struck in a proof finish and are pleasant to view. The 2022 proof $1 "CRUX" or "X" represents a constellation in the southern sky and is part of the Australian One Dollar Great Aussie Coin Hunt Set, Proofs (2022) for collectors to consider building.

Additional sets from various countries have been added, so please feel free to browse the PCGS Set Registry when you have a chance and you may find there is a set for almost anyone to build. The PCGS Set Registry offers many different sets from all over the world and specialty sets for advanced collectors. We appreciate your continued patronage!
