PCGS Set Registry Update

One of the most popular and actively collected countries within world coinage is Palestine. This former colony was developed under British Rule in 1920, and official coinage was struck in 1927 at the London Mint. Each denomination displays the legends in three languages: Hebrew, Arabic, and English. Seven denominations exist within the series: 100 mils, 50 mils, 20 mils, 10 mils, 5 mils, 2 mils, and 1 mil. Some gaps exist between years, as some dates were not struck for any of the denominations within the series. Coins minted after 1927 were struck sporadically, and four years passed until new silver coinage was issued bearing the date 1931. This series was based on a decimal system of coinage. For example, 1,000 mils was equivalent to 1 Palestinian pound, which was pegged to the British pound in terms of currency value. PCGS has recently listed the Palestine Type Set, Circulation Strikes (1927-1947) for collectors to consider building. Happy Holidays!

Additional sets from various countries have been added, so please feel free to browse the PCGS Set Registry when you have a chance and you may find there is a set for almost anyone to build. The PCGS Set Registry offers many different sets from all over the world and specialty sets for advanced collectors. We appreciate your continued patronage!
