Charles Morgan:

The 1794 Liberty Cap Cent, Sheldon 36, Crowded Date

Likely the second use of Obverse 14 (the first being NC-1, #35660) and the third use of Reverse M. Liberty’s head is situated slightly low on the planchet, with the bust terminating near the date. The bust point rests directly above the 4. The lowest hair curl terminates approximately 2mm from the date. The reverse is the second die to feature only one berry to the immediate left of the bow. This reverse die is also paired with Sheldon 37 and 38.
