A scarce 1794 variety featuring a new obverse (Obverse 22) and the return of Reverse X. On Sheldon-50 (#35612), "LIBERTY" appears to have been punched in three distinct segments: LI, BE, and RTY. Notably, the R leans slightly to the right. A thin strand of hair terminates upward toward the center of the cap, and the lowest lock appears detached from the rest of the hair. In the date, the numeral 4 touches the bust. Classified as an R5+ variety, this is the second-rarest pairing to utilize Reverse X.
