This seldom-encountered Rarity-6 variety features Obverse 24 paired with Reverse X. A primary diagnostic of this obverse is the distinct, wide spacing within the date; the 1 and 4 are separated by noticeable gaps from the central 79. Numismatist William Noyes noted that minor die cracks typically develop within Liberty’s cap, serving as a reliable secondary marker for attribution. Furthermore, the hair detail is notably heavy and crude—particularly the lowest lock—distinguishing this die from other 1794 varieties.
